Collaboration & Consulting

The MVD Lab is always open to research collaborations and community outreach opportunities. In some instances, presentation/education activities may fall within the lab’s mission of community outreach. For more information about collaboration with the lab, please complete the MVD Lab Interest Form. Activities that fall outside of Dr. Miller’s scope of work as a University of Michigan faculty member are contracted through H Miller PhD LLC, Dr. Miller’s private consulting business.

To initiate a request for consultation, please complete the Consultation Inquiry Form.

Dr. Miller is available as a consultant to support organizations seeking education about autism, neurodiversity, and disability, or for those interested in developing sensory-friendly or autism-focused programming. Current & past relationships include the Georgia Department of Education (Georgia Academy for the Blind), the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Children’s Theater, the Fort Worth Opera, the Texas Ballet Theater, the Fort Worth Public Library, Texas A&M Baylor School of Dentistry, and more.

Consulting contracts are tailored to each organization’s needs, and range from single events to long-term relationships. Organizations may choose from a list of flat-fee services including a one-hour “lunch & learn” or community education talk, half-day or full-day presentations, and bias/emotional intelligence assessment. They may also choose to develop a custom plan for longer-term program development, continuing education, workshops, individual or group coaching, grant writing support, and other services. Custom plans will include a planned timeline, a list of deliverables, and an estimated or flat cost depending on the proposal.

Reduced rates are available for academic institutions, non-profit organizations, and parent/self-advocate/stakeholder groups. Some special circumstances may warrant a reduced or waived fee.
